Table Read Daft One

After the first table read of my first draft for my screenplay, I was adviced to add screen direction in the scene to allow the reader to understand the main charcter is speaking out loud.
Also a few words are missing spaces in between which need to be fixed.

The pro's are that is was well decribed and a good narrative.

Screenplay that exist and relate

28 Days Later

Uses the same idea of a mutation turning human into flesh eating zombies, unlike my idea it portrays the mutation as being linked to an infection in blood, while mine is a genetic mutation that happens over generations.

Dawn of the Dead

Uses again mutate like humans (zombie) but does not devop the idea of how they are infected.

Devoped idea.

after testing atoms bombs in the desserts of usa the scientist and workers closes to the blast radius have mutated genes which the us govement covered up, generation later, the mutated genes change the newborn the new mutated people are locked up as the genes cause the brain to take full control of the body but decreases brain functions so they can only die by removal of the head.  Characters include investigators trying to get to the bottom of why someone’s new born was taken by a shady govement organisation. And investigator investigates an underground bunker which houses (zombie like) mutants that are being trying to be cover up by a shady organisations one of the investigators let out the mutants and is ripped apart the mutants go on a rampage, and the investigators try to escape with some members of the organisations, they then realise after some deaths that they must stop the mutants out of the bunker and the main characters sacrifice themselves.

Three Ideas for Screen Plays

3 ideas:
Idea 1: A boy wakes ups on a beach with no memeory and doesn't know were he is, has to find lost family.
Idea 2: after testing atoms bombs in the desserts of usa the scientist and workers closes to the blast radius have mutated genes which the us govement covered up, generation later, the mutated genes change the newborn the new mutated people are locked up as the genes cause the brain to take full control of the body but decreases brain functions so they can only die by removal of the head.  Characters include investigators trying to get to the bottom of why someone’s new born was taken by a shady govement organisation.
Ideas 3: A man freezes himself in cryogenigcs he  thinks he wakes up in the future and turns out his body and pumping linving heart is being used to pump blood out to be sold on the black market nd his mind is being kept in staties and the world he is in is not real, he has to find out by meeting people in the statis world from his memory and subconius people he has invented with his mind.

Analyse ‘Back To the Future’: last scene

(From 3.06 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15FlJENWu54 )

Marty opens the garage to reveal his facial expression, a mix of shock and joy. Cuts to the truck Marty has always wanted, he leans on the truck as Marty’s girlfriend Jennifer enters into the backdrop outside the garage.
Jennifer: How about a ride mister?
Marty looks at her in disbelief that she is there.
Marty: Jennifer.
He walks towards her.
Marty: Oh are you a sight for sore eye. Let me look at you.
Marty stands to the left of Jennifer, places his hands upon her shoulders and looks deep in her eye still with a look of disbelief. Jennifer stares back at him and says.
Jennifer: Marty, you’ll acting like you haven’t seen me in a week
Marty takes her left hand and replies.
Marty: I haven’t.
Jennifer looking now confused, stokes his forehead as if to check for a temperature or a bump and asks him.
Jennifer: You ok? Is everything alright?
Jennifer moves her hand to the back of Marty’s head and then to his shoulder, as Marty keeps hold of Jennifer’s hand and turns his head and upper body to look behind him, Jennifer keeps her eyes fixed on Marty’s trying to keep eye contact.
Cuts to shot looking though the see-trough door were Marty’s parents, Lorraine and George McFly, smiling at Marty and Jennifer. Lorraine’s head resting on George’s shoulder they turn around and start to walk away back into the house as Marty says off camera.
Marty: O’yeah.
Marty turns back around to face Jennifer still holding her hands
Cuts back to Marty and Jennifer in the same position, Jennifer moves her arm around to the back of Marty’s neck and they kiss. Just as they kiss a large a large flash and bang happens off shot, Jennifer and Marty’s hair is blown and they turn around to face the direction of were the flash and bang came from with shocked expressions.

Cuts to a shot of the delorean time machine driving through metal garbage cans. And parks up right in front of the camera on Marty’s drive way. Marty and Jennifer walk towards the camera, camera pans round to show Marty Jennifer and the delorean time machine in the same shot. The delorean car door opens and Doc Brown jumps out and stares at Marty wearing unusual clothes. He says.
Doc: Marty,
He walks quickly up to Jennifer and Marty grabs Marty’s arms and says
Doc: You’ve got to come with me
Marty: Where?
Doc takes off his glasses and says
Doc: Back to the future
Cuts to Doc going through garbage cans and picking up waste, Marty runs over and asks
Marty: wait a minute, what are you doing Doc?
Doc: I need fuel
Doc empties the waste into the top of the delorean.
Doc: go ahead, quick get in the car.
Marty: no no no no, Doc I just got here okay.
He points at Jennifer
Marty: Jennifer’s here, we’ll gonna take the new truck for a spin.
Doc: well bring her along, this conseres her too
Marty: wait a minute Doc, what are you talking about, what happens to us in the future. Do we become arseholes or something?
Doc: no no no no Marty, both you and Jennifer turn out fine, it’s your kids Marty something has got to be done about your kids!
Cuts to delorean backing out of Marty’s drive and onto the road. Then cuts to inside the delorean, Jennifer sitting on Marty’s lap.
Marty: hey Doc we better back up we don’t have enough road to get up to 88.
Doc looks at Marty puts his sunglases down and says
Doc: roads? Where we’ll going, we don’t need roads.
The delorean takes off and flies into the screen ending the scene and movie.

Roles in Television and film industries

Commissioning editor

Commissioning editors find and commission
work to be created or published by screen
writers.
They chose what to take on further from a
screen writing to a film or television show.
If the commissioning editor doesn’t like the
screen writing it wont get pushed on to be
created into a film or television show.

Producer
A producer starts by getting the rights to
create or co-create a film or television
show.
The producer oversees the development
and process which can include coordinating,
supervising and hiring keys roles such as
the casting director and film director.

Director
The director, directs the cast and the crew
members into developing the film or television
show.
Directors often use storyboards to help them
understanding the shot and show other cast and
crew members what's happening in that shot.
They can also use a director’s viewfinder which is
like a storyboard but shows as seen by the camera
lens to know what angle and position the camera
should be set up.

Script Editor
A script editor is a member of the production
team.
The script editor job is to find new script
writers and develop the storyline and ideas
with the writers to make sure the script is
suitable for production.

Reader

The reader is someone who will read the
screen writers work and give them feedback
on what works and what needs changing in
order to make it as good as it could be.

Studio executive (aka executive producer)

An executive producer of a film or television show
is not involved with the normal day to day
production, they are involved in representing a
financial investor such as a film or television
studio.
The executive producer can be an author of the
book which the film or television show is based on,
or one of the actors of the film or television show
who has asked the film/television studio to do the
film or show

Agents
A agent is someone who works for the
screenwriter, they find jobs and task for the
screenwriter to do such as writing a
screenplay for a brief.
They also send and get the commissioning
editor to read the screenplay and to get it
commissioned on so that it can eventually
get put into production.
